Soooo,i don't know if this is the kind of music you guys listen to,but let's start this topic anyways.What about mcr?Have you ever heard something from them?They're my favorite band ever,i started listening to music "for real" when i discovered them,that means i was 13 or something.I'm really attached to their music,they had and will always have a great impact on me,like the first time :,) this sounds gay,but yeah lol Well,the album i like the most is the first one,"I brought you my bullets,you brought me your love",i LOVE the dark atmospheres of this work!they have released 4 albums and every work is different,they like to change their sound,for example their newest record is very colorful.They have always been judged for being emo etc.,but in my opinion just the first record contains some emocore/punk contaminations.
So,what do you guys think about them?

I heard of this band when I was about ten years old. I used to like them because of their style but I'm not into this stuff anymore. Ever since I got sick of that stuff three years ago, I haven't heard a sound from them. I'm not really going to try and look them up but thanks for bringing them up again and I respect your opinion. When I read things like this I feel 1) really old, and 2) like I was the most uncool pre-teen ever. Hehe.

I've been listening to MCR since I was 16 or 17. I have their three most current albums, but have never felt the need to search out the older stuff. *shrug* I also tend to skip their "older" (e.g. songs not on Danger Days) when my music is on shuffle; I might be growing away from them a little.

when i was listening to 'our friend lazarus sleeps' by i am ghost from the vans warped tour 2007 compilation, i thought it was my chemical romance. it sounded like them so much. anyways, it was during february of this year i was listening to that old cd... and i haven't listened to mcr in a looooonggg time.

If i have to be sincere,i'm not really into Danger Days,the latest album,it's a good record indeed,but they're so different and i'm a nostalgic!Black Parade is such a perfect concept album,really well done.Sometimes i feel like i'm one of the few old supporters of the band,because most of their fans are kids now,and it's weird.For example,i went to their concert in Milan in March with my boyfriend,we're 18 and 19 years old so we're both very young,but the most part of the kids there were like 13,14,15 years old.If i have to be sincere,i was kinda scared lol and i've got a feeling that the old mcr fans stopped listening to them and this makes me a bit sad..I mean,i respect the new fans,but i don't know,it's weird because i don't really think they're a teenie band

I think that's why I like Danger Days right now; it's different than their older stuff.

As for kids all listening to bands...that's pretty normal right? I remember being a teen and being really into certain bands; I don't see why that would change for new generations of teens. Plus, growing up, other things take priority and you can't always being really, really into every single band like back in your teens.

I really never got heavily into them lol. Although 'Welcome to the Black Parade' is one of my favorite songs lol.
