Are there any members that are a fan of Twilight (the series and/OR the soon-to-be movie)?

Have a favorite character?
Favorite moment?
Etc?

---

My favorite character is Edward (of course!). Who doesn't love a romantic sap?!
I have blocked out my most painful memories from New Moon (you know, the parts without Edward!) lol.
And my next favorite character is Emmett. I love the way Stephenie describes his "booming laugh."

---

So yeah, anyone else want to add anything?

I like the series, but I don't like the fanatics. I don't really see how anyone can be in love with a book character.
I haven't read Breaking Dawn, but I've read the first three. I'm looking forward to the movie.

It's easy to be in love with a book character.  Tongue
There's been so many books where you get to know the character in-depth. The things he likes, the music he listens to, the things he says. I mean, he was born in 1901 and has that turn of the century language. It's romantic, he's romantic, the things he says are romantic, etc. It's basically a lot of the qualities a person wants for their boyfriends, lol. Call me weird, but there's a whole LOT of us out there that are in love with Edward Cullen. Lol.

Wo0T! TeamEdward. <3 lol.

Yeah, I'm really excited for the movie. I wish it would just hurry up and come already!

Some of the trailers I have seen somehow don't seem to do the book justice, but I am going to treat the book and the movie as two separate entities, as they should be.

I'm a little upset about the casting. I think that someone else could be playing Edward. Robert Pattinson was fantastic for Harry Potter's Cedric Diggory, but other than that, Pattinson is just going to have to prove his worthiness of playing Edward.

I tend to do that to movies made from books, like A Walk To Remember. I thought Shane West was perfect for Landon, lol. But we'll see how it is with Pattinson. ^_^

I really love the series too, but I haven't fallen in love with Edward. I love the idea of a guy who says all the right things and risks it all to save me. But I don't really care if a guy sparkles in the sunlight or has amber eyes. Nah. He just has an awesome personality and seems totally charming.

^_____^ I love Emmet.

 Shocked

Edward has Topaz eyes, Onyx when he's hungry. So do the rest of the Cullens and Hales.

Vampires like James, Victoria, and Laurent would have those Amber/Scarlet eyes because they fed on human blood. lol.

But I agree. I would also like to have someone to risk everything for me. Gives me a sense of security.

Emmett looks like hes going to be HOT in the movie. Especially in the trailer when he's like "She's NOT one of us!" hahaha he's so adorable. They better make him have his "booming" laughter in here ^_^

I dunno about Jasper, lol. He reminded me of a crackhead. Lmao. I dunno why! But I don't like his hair, or the way he is scrawny compared to Emmett and Edward. He looks more scrawny than Edward, and that's so not the way it's supposed to be.

I think I have this cropped hair image in my mind, with more build, because he was in the army when he was human. So I expected after going through the change, it will look better, but I'll see when I watch the movie. I've only seen pictures of him.

Rosalie isn't so pretty at all! lol. She looks like a younger Christina Applegate. O_o dunno if that's just me...

And Carlisle... he just looks ALL wrong. haha.

I do agree that Rosalie is NOT as pretty as she should be. I can think of a handle full of way prettier actresses who could have pulled her off. NOT that girl. No offense, she is attractive, I'm sure, but not Rosalie. She isn't.

Carlise is okay, could be better... But I'm not disappointed. I AM disappointed with Esme! She looks all old and heavily make up'd. Ick.

I think Esme IS old. I think she's supposed to be 25? And I think Carlisle was around 27-28?

But I'm used to Esme's actress (Elizabeth Reaser) playing in Grey's Anatomy. They had her on Grey's for like a season I believe, then out of no where she's gone. And apparently filming for Twilight. lol. She's NOT pretty. And she doesn't make a great vampire. Again, another vampire they could have casted MUCH differently.

As for James, Victoria, and Laurent. I think they nailed it.

Edward, they could have gotten someone else. There's this guy who plays in 90210 (lmao) that would be perfect as Edward. Haha. This Edward looked MUCH better in Harry Potter as a wizard, not as a vampire.

Especially in the promo pictures! ugh... Too much makeup on them. Didn't like it at ALL.

You think 25 is old? I am nearing old..... I don't think 25 is old. 25 is when you are at your prime. They should look hot and fit and smoking. NOT 35 and 40. Fail.

And as to Edward's actor, I didn't like him at first, but he grew on me quickly. But I didn't like him as Cedric AT ALL. he was my biggest complaint about that movie. He was not cute enough to be Cedric, but he somehow pulls Edward off for me. I wonder why... Well, he is awfully good at brooding.

I assume you have seen the new trailer? It is amazing.

Lmao, oh no! I think I phrased that wrong and contemplated whether I should edit the way I wrote it. Haha.

I meant to say that they are SUPPOSED to be around 25 years old. But the actress of Esme looks really old that she can't pull off that young, sexy vampire look. Lol.

But oh yeah, I've seen the new trailer. It's AMAZING! lol. Much better than the first trailer they put out. <333

I just don't like how she says "you're impossibly fast, and pale white" blah blah. It just, doesn't sound right to me.

Have you watched the trailer spoof on youtube? Haha. I couldn't stop laughing. It was adorable.

I finally broke down and gave the series a try on the recommendation of my sister when I forgot to bring a book to read on a flight the other day.  The writer's style sounded like too much of a knock off of L.J. Smith, who I grew up with, so I was biased in the beginning but I have to admit I enjoy what I've read so far despite the occasional cheesiness.

I have my doubts about the movie if only because the lead actor looks like he got lost on the way to some 50s themed Halloween party.  Seriously, what's with the hair?

I read them all, and I guess I liked the first one best.

The last book, Breaking Dawn, I was very disappointed with. I don't know. I feel like it was too rushed and just didn't really end right. I'm not sure. I guess as the books moved on I lost as much love for them. The first is best, then second, then third, then fourth last. Basically in order.

I like the way Stephanie Meyer writes though. She's very talented in how she portrays her characters.

How about The Host?
That book was absolutely astonishing!
I loved it so much!
And the way she portrayed human emotions? PERFECT.
She's going down in history for her madd writing skills.

i mean, who doesn't want practically the hottest, nicest, most polite, guy in the world to be their boyfriend??
I have to remind myself frequently that he does not exist.
:]

ahh. Edward.

I used to be a die hard fan, but not so much anymore.

The first book was amazing, but I got more and more disappointed as the series progressed. Sorry for all the hate and stuff, guys! I just wanted to share my opinions. But, Stephanie Meyer is an amazing author and wrote the books amazingly.

LMAO! That just made my night. Haha. I'm glad you are enjoying the book, but I must admit that the cheesiness can be too much. However, I think it's adorable. And yes, the hair looks terrible. I guess they are TRYING to portray Edward as the model he's supposed to look like. What was he compared to? A model for rain coats, was it? Lmao. Among other things he was compared to.. But still, couldn't they at least leave his hair alone? Def the 50's haha.

L.J Smith sounds familiar. Did she write the Night World novels? I read the first volume. The writing was quite... odd. But yet, I wanted to know what happened next, haha. So I read it anyway.

I need to buy the poster they have at Borders. ^_^ The only things I have of Twilight are 2 shirts (The one tee with some of the characters on it, and a baby doll tee that has a bitten apple on the front saying "Bite Me" - and I Love Edward Cullen tee. hehe, courtesy of twilightteez), all the books, and the calendar =] I THINK that's it. Can't be too sure :p

And Leah and Seth? I liked Seth with his teamwork with Edward. Awww. But Leah really got me upset in Breaking Dawn. I thought she was really annoying. lol.

The Host was amazing! I loved Melanie, and the descriptions of each of the planets, etc. The ending had me crying, haha. I HATED Jared. And I loved Ian. ^_^

Yeah, she's finally releasing the last Night World book in the next year (ten years later) after some personal matters.  Not her strongest work, but it had its moments.  She's most known for her similarly overwrought Vampire Diaries series, which has it's own fair share of cheesiness, and also The Secret Circle and The Forbidden Game - all of which are over a decade old, but haven't lost their charm for me.
