If you had just gotten a new guitar, what would you name it? Would you name it? Would you shoot someone who names their guitars?
Input, please. If you would name it, throw some out there. If you are opposed to it, shout about it. If you don't care, go roll in some dirt so we can mock you.

I think I told you what I named mine but in case I didn't, it's ZULE! From Ghost Busters. It's not a bad thing to name your guitar, it just is another way to bond with the instrument. I think Rina said she named hers Marybeth? Or something like that? All the haters out there who think naming a guitar is lame, don't have a guitar...they're just jealous!!! Muahaha!

I got one for Christmas... It's nothing special and it's one of them mini guitars... Which is cool for the collection I'm trying to start.
Haven't named it yet. All I know is I already broke a string. *sigh* Time for the music store.
I have another guitar... it's red.. and crappy.. and old. I named it Amanda cause it used to belong to my sister Amanda. Curduh.
Now I have to learn how to play these bitches... you know, play them well. I started playing You Are The One.. sorta.
Can't figure out Ricochet for some reason. I'll have to watch Typhoon play it. Get some pointers.

I don't have a guitar, but my boyfriend has like 3 of them and hasn't named any of them - to my knowledge haha. I know his latest guitar is an Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom) signature, so I guess he'd rather keep it the sig than giving it a name. The other two are a Les Paul and Ibanez. Tempting guitars to give names to, but I don't know why he hasn't.
I've never named any of my flutes... I just called them my babies. lol. And the only object I have named was my ipod, Addison - Addison Montgomery from Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice...

My iPod is called Darth vadar because it is shiny and black and I call my laptop the death star because it is big and white and destroys WORLDS.
I am thinking of calling my guitar Enoch.

So, I am showing off my guitar. Cause I can. And it's fun. My new Epiphone Special II I play it every day. Multiple times a day. I'm replacing the tuners (manufacturers are NOT ideal) with better ones very very soon. I'm also getting a case and the strap is on its way. Give me another 6 months and I'll get new pickups for it, too. My baby needs some loving. If any of you have a guitar (or another choice instrument) show me!

Cuz I RAWK like that. It would be no prob to help you ABThomas...thats a great guitar. I'm trying to trade my Yamaha for one like that cuz i dont use tremolo bars. So I need something Gibson Les Paul-esque. What'd you pay for it....or was it a present? Anyhow I have 4. 2 electrics and 2 Acoustics The electrics : A Squire Fender Bullet (My first elec) and a Yamaha RGS-121. The Fender's name is Gamlit. And The Yamaha (since its blue) its called Sini. Thats Finnish for blue. Im not finnish, though. lol One acoustic is on of those small first act guitars from Wal-Sharts. Its black and used to have a Star with wings on it. (I Ripped it off) and then my Other acoustic is a generic/nameless guitar given to me, and its like 25 years old and still has the old-ass strings on it. I have pics but they're too big of size to put up. Heres a link to see em though =] Im in it of course http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/Lt_Typhoon/LashGamlitAndBB1.jpgThe pic is kinda dated. Sini doesnt have the black tape on anymore and Gamlit has many more stickers on. lol Anyhow, thats my stuff. (darn that was a long post xD)

Ha ha!! Enoch was a gift. From me. To me. Yay me! It was on sweet sale, plus I'd been saving. But mostly the sweet sale. Guitar Center. 169 without tax. I paid 216 total for guitar, picks, and a tuner. There was a wine red version of this one, cost less too, but I was drawn to this one and couldn't break free. Freaking sweet. But I fully expect to bleed another couple hundred into it to really make it awesome. It's sweet as it is, but it could be better. And I love him. Every moment apart, I miss him. Even when I'm tired and my hands hurt I just want to hold him. So yeah, that was the deal. Pay a sweet deal and pack it in later. I hope I'll get more guitars over the years, but I'll settle on Enoch for a while.

A really good way to "soup it up" so to speak would be: Install Locking tune machines and Gibson Les Paul Covered Humbuckers and throw on a Gold Les Paul Tune-o-matic brigde. Can't really do much after that. You could get like, strap locks but that wont upgrade the sound. Thats what I would do. lol. Thats a Tobacco Burst finish, correct? Why did you name it Enoch? (Enoch's my fav prophet for the bible LOL).

So.... what does a Floyd Rose do?
My boyfriend was going crazy wanting one SO bad, but he didn't know how to install it until a half year ago. I still have no idea what it is - or why he needed one. -_-

Heres a good place to go due to how hard it is for me to describe it w/o pics xD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floyd_RoseBut in a nutshell, Instead of being held down by screws, It is held on by 2 posts that it pivots on while being pulled by x amount of springs in the back (3 or 2 usually). Its actullay for playing more metal style music. They're better than standard tremolo bridges.

And totally named Enoch from the prophet and his awesome perfection.

Enoch is beautiful.
I name everything of mine. Computer, camera, ipod, etc.
So I support you and your naming of inanimate objects.
