I just listened to Love Or Something Like It again. Why oh why did you not put this on any of your We Are Pilots? It is such a good song. Really pop-ish like the rest of WAP. Cold War I can kinda understand the exclusion (but only kinda; it was still a really good song, and I could compare it with "Waiting"). I want a reason as to why you did not put these on your CDs. They are so good.

And, they can't put everything on the albums. AND I'll bet their newest record company said "no" in a snooty sort of voice.

And if they actually released it with WAP, then they'd have the harder decision to choose between which songs become singles and what not. All from WAP, in my opinion, should have been singles and have music videos.

Perhaps, Shiny Toy Guns just didn't want those songs on WAP.

Um, I would definitely prefer LOSLI over Joel's Theme, which is boring and wierd. I find that song pretty pointless.

Not that I can find... Maybe I just can't find THAT one song. I can find pretty much every other song out there.

Because they don't own then. (I think that's the case).
They were both demos produced to sell to other artists. STG put them up for download once and now they circle the interwebs.

Doesn't mean they couldn't have chucked them on WAP with all the other tracks.

It kind of does. Those songs were not made for Shiny Toy Guns, let alone We Are Pilots.

Umm, LOSLI is not a cover. It is not a remake. It is STG's own work. Of course they own it. They own all the rights to it. They can do whatever they want with it.

I never said that. But it was made before Shiny Toy Guns was a band (they were a band of course, but... something different). It was made by the people who later made STG, but it was not made for what would become STG. And it was not made to be part of We Are Pilots. If you listen to v1 (which I know you can do better than many fans can, lucky!) you'll notice the flow- the motif of the whole thing. The vocoder repeating: I tried so hard. But LOSLI and Cold War were not made for being part of this. If anyone bought the song, they actually don't own it anymore. Maybe nobody did. Who knows? The song was made to be sold, like when Carah recorded those Paris Hilton demos and sent them to her. And yes, they can do whatever they want with it. Including not releasing it. You answered your own question.

Carah recorded for Paris Hilton? Oh god. She better have been paid good. Anyway, where does Joel's Theme fit in with the motif of WAP? Compare it to songs like Photograph or Le Disko, and there's pretty much no similarities. It's got more in common with Free Fall Melody than anything else. All I'm saying is "what's STG's reasons for not including LOSLI and Cold War on any of the WAPs?"

Actually, Carah never sang for Paris Hilton. No. Wrong. She denied it in an interview, that was just a rumor, etc. No on the Paris Hilton recording stuff.

She did record for Paris. The rumor was that Paris never even sang and that it's Carah's voice on the album. That's the not true part.
