I'm slipping into stars...
Your rush is pushing me,
The west is one,
I'm uncomfortably numb
I'm holding it back 'til I can't resist,
Looting me with your fingers kissed,
Our bodies apart, it never made much sense,
I swept the evidence
Now press me down
You ready? Here we go
I have some thoughts on those parts and your version of the lyrics, Hele. I mean, I think the last two lines of the 2nd verse are:
My west is won,
I'm warm comfortably now.
I think it's that because it's a play off of the term "how the west of was won" type of thing, and also that she asks to be saved from the cold war, so I can see the warm bit.
I thought it was "lifting me with your fingers kissed" too. I just don't hear looting..
And in the ... I don't know what to call it right now, my mind is gone blank ... when there is mostly instrumental >_< I don't think she's saying "You ready? Here we go." If you listen to it, at a slightly higher volume in that part, she says "I'm ready." And then it echoes that in a quieter repeat right after. Which makes sense. She says "now press me down" and there some 'hesitation' and she says "I'm ready.."
My opinion. ^_^
