The new contest begins TODAY. In the spirit of growing the forum now that we've got everything working, this is a referral contest to bring in new members who love Shinys but don't know about the forum yet.
Prize:
A copy of Season of Poison signed by all four members of the band. This is a brand new copy they signed specifically for forum contests.
How to do it:
Click on Profile in the top menu. You'll see a Referral section that lists how many members you've referred, etc. Copy the custom Referrals Link (it's different for each member) and use that as the link to STG.net when you send an email to invite a friend or post it on your MySpace or whatever. When the person clicks your link and signs up on the forum, the referral will show up in your profile.
Rules:
NO CHEATING. The winner's referrals will be double checked before the prize is awarded. IPs show up in profiles, so it'll be obvious if you sign up for multiple referrals yourself. Please keep it to Shiny fans or people who might be interested in STG (I don't want to see any posts like, "click here and join this forum to help me win, even if you don't like this band).
*A few of you have already used the referral code a few times. Referrals before February 15th won't be counted towards the contest.
