sure there are a few songs i tend to skip over (jackie, shaken, the latest version of when they came for us) but it's funny because these songs would be stand-out tracks if they ended up on season of poison instead.

You know what, 'dont praise me' you're totally right on that one. Lets imagine these tracks were on the SoP album, they'd be the stand outs! And the reason for that is because of the clever lyrics, the melody, the beat, electronics/synths. SoP lacks the original qualities of the band I fell in love with. Not to say that the new album should be like the old album exactly, but using the techniques and clever lyrics is what made this band as good and loved as they are. SoP lacks for me.

And something else. I absolutely love Evanescence. You'd have to give them a listen several times till her lyrics hit you really hard. Amy Lee = the shiz. I really love that band so please, don't hate!

As far as Shiny Toy Guns, I love them still, but I feel like this album could have been better. Good job on some of the songs but not so good job on most of the songs.  Undecided It's just a good album. Not the best. Not great. But good.

I look at it like this; in WAP I really like the songs exactly as they are. The songs were created very well. On SoP however, on almost every one of their songs there's something I'd like to cut out or change...I don't like that  Undecided

Well for me. We Are Pilots is great[I actually like all of the songs..at first I only liked like half of them..but then after listening to the whole thing..all of them stuck[esp. You Are the One, Don't Cry Out, Rainy Monday and Chemistry of a Car Crash] Grin

And about Season of Poison..so far, so good[ I love Frozen Oceans, Blown Away, I owe you a Love Song, When did This Storm Begin, Ricochet![which by the way...was annoying at first..but then it was like great], and Money for That...mm] Cheesy

Nah, I wouldn't go as far as saying it's better. Right now, for me, it's even.... and dipping ever so slightly below WAP. But I can't understand someone liking WAP and hating SoP... Just doesn't make sense and sounds like someone is being too critical.

Yeah. I wouldn't say I like it better. But they are pretty close to a tie. With WAP just a bit above SoP.
And I don't understand the people who can hate it. I really like it.
I think they are just a little too serious/critical about it.

I must say I am falling into deep love with most of the new songs, but I wouldn't call it better than WAP. It's rough for me because SOP is a lot darker than WAP. We have abuse, suicide/murder, lying, obsession, and some other emotions.

Which is a huge reason why I love it. I'm all for the darker stuff. It's great. I just wish people would stop being critical.. and actually LISTEN, no.. not "listen"... LISTEN, to the music. It's powerful stuff.

Seriously. It's engulfing. It's not floatingly soul enrapturing like WAP, but it does consume you.

Exactly. Both albums present a different mood... something new. If they gave us a copy of WAP, it would just seem... boring. I mean, yeah..there are things wrong with SoP... But remember... There were two versions of WAP...before the final one in stores now... And believe me, the first version was not great... The songs we love now were a lot more boring and lacking compared to Version 3's stuff.

Exactly Matt.
Different versions. And even if they only make one version of SoP, I'm still going to love it forever.
Because all of their CD's/songs are epic.
And shall never be coasters. Ever.

I also like having some more darker stuff, because Shiny's can capture all moods. Which is nice, because all my moods are different, and it's nice to have something for every mood.

Poison = Depressing as ****. And I love it to death. SoP is really powerful. I listened to it all again today while driving.. I can't understand why so many dislike it.

Because they just aren't as cool as us.
That's why.
