Money for that.
My opinions on the song-
WHAT THE **** DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! "I'd Give you Money for that." WHO SAYS THAT? Hows about, "I'd pay you for that." I have never heard that term. Ever.
It's Chad-Centric. Good.
School Bell Effects- Totally Unnecessary.
Overall- 6/10 (3/5)
Best Choice For Single?- No. I owe you a love song. When did this storm begin. Turn To Real Life. Frozen Oceans. ANY OF THOSE BEFORE THIS ONE.
The other two haven't even seen real physical release yet but STG are planning on the third. WTF is that bull****?

It means he'd pay someone to take him back in time to when he was in school. He obviously misses his childhood.
Ah well. Any news on the release date? I gotta get a copy on eBay.
Hopefully there's some good remixes on the single.

I know what he means.
I'm just pointing out- that song is sooooooooooooooo weirdly worded.
And we haven't even got any releases of Ricochet or Ghost Town remixes. That's what truly pisses me off.

Well, geez, you don't gotta swear. I like the song, and I think if they wanna put out the the song as a single, you should be happy with their choice as to what they want to do. Thats a true shiny fan IMO.
Complaining won't make it any better. *DEGRESSION*
Anyhow, I think they are either in the process of making the video, or its still being planned.

I wish they would make just a massive remix album of all their remixes. Ten CDs or some ****. Now THAT I would buy five copies of.

Blindly following and not having your own opinion does not make you a fan. It's more like constructive criticism. It's a good song but there are better ones to choose. And they're rushing the releases to the point that there's been no releases.

Money for that.
Hum.
I say "I'd pay money for that" or "I'd pay good money for that." Everyone has variations. And you rephrase for lyrics, anyways.
I'm not sure why they are releasing it as a single... it's already on the CD. What I mean by that is, why do bands release songs from their CD's as singles?? Strange.
And when asked about the song and it's meaning, the band said they all simply miss the simplicity of their youth. No regrets on any part, just the ease and smoothness of life.

They release singles because:
1. Singles are cheaper 2. Singles give a good taste of what the band is like.

Remixes, IMO, don't really give a taste of what the band is like because they take only the lyrics and put them in a new "shell" so-to-speak. Brand new sounds.

But those singles always contain the album version.

anyways, i love this song. it's the only song on the entire album that i can actually picture on the radio that the public would like. and i mean like HIT music stations.

But that's the thing. It's an abnormal song for STG. They should be popular, but not for that.

Who cares what you're popular for, as long as you're popular.

I happen to love Money For That verry much. School bells and all <3. A lot more than IOYALS too.
I understood the wording easily. If any of the songs are worded weirdly, it would be Blown Away. And then I realized that the chorus and verse is continuing the same thought.
uh. my friend thought they were saying "I'd give you my impotence." or something rather silly like that.

I guess they make it a single to reflect their sound if that's the direction they are going to move in even more. Perhaps the next album will sound much more MfT. *shrug* Or perhaps they just love it a lot.

Yeah, I heard on an interview that Chad and Jeremy got kinda bored with the dominance of electronics and With STG touring with bands that Rocked out, STG wanted to rock out more. So MfT would definatley get that point across.

Well if it really seems to have that many variations in the lyrics it should do well in public. Look at how many ways you can hear "I'm Blue Da Buh Dee Da Buh Di." I think it's a decent single. I wouldn't wanna see Turned To Real Life released as a single just because it's had like three or four other versions. A video for it would be pretty interesting though.
