Matt, did you not download the track back in November when it leaked? I think it's even in the b-sides/rarities topic... It was definitely posted somewhere in the forum for downloading before.

Yeah, not a huge fan of the forum either. Too much drooling on Carah, in who i love. But like Kara said....too much fanboy/girl BS. i mean, theres other members that have alot to talk about xD. I joined, but i doubt me daily reading posts like i do here. Comment on the whole bashing thing ::: Here, we wouldnt say "Versant sucks" or anything, cause i see alot of love here for Versant. Or hate on Carah. But yes, if a new "room" opened up for the band and they replied, I'd shix myself. I will try to keep posted on the whole deal about someone asking the origins of Cold War, since every once in a while i bring it up. Yeah, someone had asked about it some already. Cold War and Love or Something Like It are from the pre-Shiny days when Carah was trying out for Jeremy. AND, she said that there are more songs like them, but that they need to remain secret; I so wish we could have them too. However, if you were to find out more, I'd love to hear it.  |

The sample is nothing to write home about, Kara. It sounds like a slightly muffled version of the original. Or at least on my speakers it does. Sounds like there's too much going on in the background. And the video is just.. bleh. Her singing one of her favorite songs with some country singer. It's not very good. They can't seem to sing in sync at some parts. |

I'm so glad Carah left. Sisely is better suited for the whole electroclash thing STG kinda has going on and I love how Carah sounds with the whole alt/electro/pop sound.

As someone who totally abhors country music, I thought the video was pretty good. He was way flat, and she tried to correct on his behalf, but otherwise, they did well. Besides, you can tell it was one of those "get up here and sing one with us!" kind of moments with no practice and no preparation. So, you have to give them a break. Live music performance (for those of you who haven't performed in a band) is a lot harder than people think.
Haven't heard the new clip yet, but as I am still loving my original, I am in no hurry.

Hey, I'm not the only who thinks there's too much going on in the clip. A few people on the Versant facebook said the same exact thing. Everyone else was too busy acting like rabid fanboys/girls to actually judge the clip properly. |
