(In reference to something Kara said in another thread)
The tweet about one of their laptops being stolen?
I'm so mad that someone would do that! And also, it means someone has some of their unreleased music, which angers me because I know how much they wouldn't want that leaked or anything, and now someone who doesn't deserve it, has it.
GR.

Luckily, they just tweeted that most of the work was backed up elsewhere, so they didn't lose much. As for the thief leaking their music; I wouldn't expect that to happen. It's more likely the laptop has been wiped and sold.

Yeah. I bet the idiot who stole it has no interest in the music. Just the laptop. lol

That's not cool. Whoever took that laptop has no idea how much I would have paid for it haha But still, what a douche bag.

People just amaze me. I mean I understand people have it rough at times and would do things they normally wouldn't in some cases (yes I like to try and see the best in everyone) but that is just ridiculous. Makes me very sad that someone would do that. I am glad they had backed it up tho. Close one for sure!

People just have no idea of what they're doing, this is the craziest thing I've ever heard about a band being in a studio, and I'm still amazed someone has been able to rob it in a studio without anyone noticing it !! Sad, sad news. I don't know about you but I kind of sense the album will be delayed because of it. Maybe it already was but... how sad.

Yeah. I've already been hearing that the Fall release, might get bumped to next year. I figure when they finally get close to the album being done, then they'll be able to give us a realistic release date (they're pretty bad guessers, otherwise).

How about their tours? I hope they still are going to play a show in the Bay Area late September or early October, as they stated. Wait, is the Bay Area Massachusetts? I hope so because I thought so and that's where I live. I've never been to a concert (true fact) also, I'd rather wait for their music to come out as a surpise, not leaked from a stolen studio laptop

Well I think for one thing they've had to change plans for the release date multiple times because of the band line-up changing, as well as getting more music on there that Carah had a larger part in, or at least those are my guesses. I've seen interviews where Jeremy said that they had songs written just for Carah to perform after the release of WAP, but to ignore what has happened the last few years wouldn't be good either. Plus it is also depends on what record execs like as well. I'm still keeping hope for the Fall date, I think October would be good (good music coming out in October...Evanescence and Ting Tings) but I will wait longer. I want them to make sure they think it is perfect.
theFCA, when they said the Bay Area, I assumed they meant in California.

I thought I remembered Jeremy saying that, but coupling it with something akin to "we wrote these songs for Carah to sing, had a fight, wrote some songs about the fight and how that made us feel, and now we've all made up and are writing songs about THAT, so this album will be expressive of that metamorphosis." Wait, is the Bay Area Massachusetts?
I'm afraid, dear sweet heart, that "Bay Area" almost always refers to Bay Area, California, unless you live somewhere that refers to your area as that. But country wide, it's generally the San Francisco area (my digs).

I thought the Bay Area was Massachusetts because Mass is called the Bay State ._. No!!! They never came here with Carah!!! [heartbroken].

So I take it that if your phone is off you don't ever get any twitter messages that were sent during that time? I subscribed to the Shiny's twitter specifically because I once missed them playing only 45 minutes from me because they only gave a couple days notice (when they played before the OKC Thunder's playoff game). Now I look at their twitter pic archive and see them set up playing in Norman, OK three weeks ago...WTH? How'd I miss that one too? I live a little more than an hour away from them and at this point I've only seen them once in the last 2 and a half years (and that required driving to TX). I've now missed not one, but two concerts in that time...both FREE. They tweeted they were performing this latest one only a day in advance and as I look at my phone's tweet history, I'm missing everything from Oct. 14-15. There needs to be some kind of web service that will tweet you and email you anytime bands you're interested in come within a certain radius of where you live...well ahead of time.

If you know how RSS feeds work, you can subscribe to twitter accounts, and get them fed into your feed. And I think some feeds email you every time an update happens. Google reader does that, I think. You might also look for sites that will email you twitter things like that. I think http://www.tweetbeep.com/ does that.

Wow. Signs of life Wasn't expecting a reply within 5 minutes on a thread with no posts since July. I'll check that stuff out. Simply emailing tweets, while being annoying in that I'd get all of them in my email inbox, not just ones related to nearby shows, is better than nothing, and I hadn't thought of that. My yahoo email might even be able to filter all messages from a certain sender into a separate folder for organization...that'd be nice. I'm trying https://nutshellmail.com/ It seems to work well so far. Easy to set up. You can checkbox what you want it to send you info on...new followers, new quitters, latest tweets, @replies/@mentions. You can also link up to your facebook and youtube accounts similarly, but I haven't tried that. If you know how RSS feeds work, you can subscribe to twitter accounts, and get them fed into your feed. Over the course of a month that must've been the only two times my phone ran out of juice for an extended time.

Look what I found on Twitter: "still tying up some lose ends but we might happen to know when our first single drops. And possibly might have a release date for #iii " We have big news really soon.

I'm not counting on anything though, I'll just let it surprise me when they do announce a date. "might happen to know", "possibly might have..."
