I think Wait for Me almost has that Chemistry of a Car Crash feel to it. Also, thanks for those links!!! I'm thinking there will be about 11 as well, which is great but if there is more I will be happy for that as well! Carrie might also have a Chemistry of a Car Crash feel to it as well, considering that it is about the lack of communication and the story of the break up (didn't they say that as well, or am I making things up again? lol) so I think that is very possible. Honestly, I can say that all the songs that I have heard are amazing! I think they will also need to have some faster paced songs and happier songs. They have The Sun and Speaking Japanese but it seems like they will have more than that from looking at the other two albums. I hope we get some great B-Sides too!
Wasn't The Sun basically the 'break up song'? Tongue
All I remember about Carrie is that it was a song written by Chad but then again, I may be making things up as well xD
What I'm hoping for is a fast paced, energy filled song like You Are The One. I guess Stay Down comes close to that so no surprise that's my favorite so far Wink

Speaking Japanese is most likely the Le Disko of the album We've seen the footage, and I've heard it live, and they perform with the same raw energy for it. It's also got the same undertone in meaning "girl is too hot for you." I am soooo stoked for the new album.

Hmm I thought they said that they picked The Sun as the first single because it was a song that used both Carah's and Chad's vocals to let everyone know that they were back together again, but I thought they said Carrie was technically the breakdown of communication and the story behind the music almost. I'll have to hunt around and see what I can find.

I like Stay Down, but I think I prefer Wait For Me and Speaking Japanese more at this point. It is so funny too, because I couldn't imagine what the album would sound like after The Sun was released. It was such a mash up of both albums (which is great in my opinion) and I didn't know if it would stay my favorite. Now, out of the four songs that I've heard The Sun may be my fourth favorite of the new stuff I've heard. LOL! That's not to say that I don't love it, because I really do...but the other songs just spark something in me more. I really want to see the direction that If I Lost You will go in. Because what they gave us with Together Again was just the Orchestral Mix. I don't see them using the Inception references like that as much now. I mean it was great at the time and a wonderful way to tie it all in, but I want to hear the finished project. If it does use that inspiration, that's fine too because it all sounds so beautiful...but I wonder how it will fit on the album.

Also I agree that Speaking Japanese is very much the Le Disko or Ricochet song of this album. It is the pumped up full of energy performance. It is so fun to watch this one live. I am constantly listening to it and posting it. I'm so excited for all of it to be released so I can enjoy it all and just put the entire CD on repeat like I did when Season of Poison came out, and like I did when I purchased We Are Pilots!

Is there an official release date yet for the album? Or at least does anybody have a rough idea? I'm just curious...hehe

On twitter the other day:

"our beloved and patient fans and friends...we are very proud to announce we are ONE song away from finishing #III .. The wait is nearly over"

Best news I've heard in a while!

It IS exciting, but it will most likely still be a few months at least. They're record company will want to set up marketing and get people to review it, in efforts to build hype.

Yeah typically once it's finished, it's put on the schedule 3-4 months out.

If its done in February, we're looking at a May/June release.

Which is actually good because they'll probably hit the road for a big summer/fall tour.

I would be ok with a late Spring early Summer release and then an amazing tour!

Hey guys. I updated the "What We Know" thread. Let me know if I missed anything. lol

Also, I didn't realize Carrie was going to be on this album until I read it here. When was this said? I know Carrie was talked about back when Chad and Jeremy were doing the Mirror Machines thing... But I didn't know they were bringing it on over to III.

I wonder if Wolf (Mercy) will be on the album as well.

You should add that there's a song called Live It Up, it was mentioned on Tony Maserati's website as one of the songs he produced for the new STG album. Carrie was among those songs as well. But if I remember correctly STG once said on twitter that Carrie, originally a Mirror Machines track, was gonna be on III. But maybe I'm just making that up though...Embarrassed

^^Agreed with Jasper, I'm pretty sure I remember them saying it would be on the album on Twitter, and I thought there was an interview that mentioned it as well. I'll go play detective for a bit. Smiley

Also do you want the link for Wait for Me, to add to the page as well?

And here is a link about mentioning songs about the "great divide" between the band and all that, and I think they had mentioned before that's what Carrie was about. I thought, could be wrong. Alas, here is the link http://vimeo.com/20697015

Wow, I missed lots of things here! Like Carrie & Wait for Me. I'm listening to Speaking Japanese & I garee that it sounds more like Le Disko which is 'bad' as it's my less favorite song but we'll see with a better quality sound!

As for a release date, I read it'll be out on July! I just can't wait now !

I kinda agree with you.
Tbh, I think Speaking Japanese is my least favorite III song so far.
Not saying it's bad or anything, but I prefer the other new stuff.
And compared to 'sister songs' Le Disko and Ricochet!, it think I prefer those over Speaking Japanese as well. Lips Sealed

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
So exciting!!!

As far as Speaking Japanese goes, I don't know...there is just something about the song that makes me want to dance and scream and have an amazing time. It is just one of those high energy feel good songs. Hahaha I think that's why I like Ricochet and Le Disko too. They aren't necessarily the typical feel good type of song lol but it works. I wish we could get a complete track list for the album. They said that it will be 11 songs, and then there will be exclusives for iTunes and things like that. I'd just like to see what made the cut completely, and where all I'm gonna have to go to get the bonus songs lol.
