What was the song that you heard by the shiny toy guns that first got you into them and how'd you hear it? Mine was Le Disko and I heard them on myspace and fell in love with them.  Nobody else sounds like them

I was looking through iTunes' recommendations for me. I played everyone song on the list (most of which I didn't enjoy, by the way), and then I stumbled upon Stripped. I fell in love immediately! It's safe to say, I just had to have more.

Yeah, Stripped was one of my first songs too. At first I didn't know it was a cover so I was like OMG! But I came across the original the next day and was incredibly impressed on how good the cover was.

Oh, man.
My first song was Le Disko.
my friend Natalie sent me the link over IM
and then later she had me listen to it and Don't Cry Out on a car trip
and I completely feel in love with them.

I first heard Le Disko and didn't know ANYTHING about STG, and I thought it was an angry Femme band. Then I realized there was a guy singing in it too, so I hunted them up. I fell in love when I heard You are the One, and I was engulfed entirely when I drowned in Chemistry of a Car Crash. Emphasis on the drowned in. I couldn't breathe the first time I heard that song...

I heard Le Disko and started listening to their myspace daily. Their CD was only like $9 at Target so I decided to buy it when I saw it randomly and for a long time, it never left my CD player and it was always playing on my IPod. It was all of the songs that got me into them really.

It was either Don't Cry Out or You Are The One.

Someone asked me if I listened to them, and at the time I wasn't exactly the person who liked Electronica. I guess I was stuck in my own world of listening to JUST metal and hard rock that I later realized I was missing out on a LOT.

So while I was bored, about 3 years ago, I was browsing MySpace and my friend had one of their songs as her profile song. I listened to that song over and over, and with every second of me listening to that song, I was coming out of my own little world into a new genre of music.

Thanks to STG, I now listen to bands like Mindless Self Indulgence and Porcelain and the Tramps. =]
