As a 33 yr old SINGLE gal, I can totally relate to that.  I have spent the last 5 Valentine's Days alone.  And no, that is completely NOT cool.  I should have been married and in a family YEARS ago.  Life just isn't always as fair as it should be. 

I know you all know that I work as a veterinary technician, right? Well, I have already taken 6 phone calls this morning from owners whose dogs have gotten Valentine's Day chocolate.  It is a very humbling and depressing thing that all the dogs of Kansas City seem to be getting chocolates, when I have none for myself.... *sigh*

Oh come on you sour pusses.. Even if you don't have a partner it's no big deal. Valentine's Day is a celebration of love. Go do something with your family or friends or yourself even...

Okay, like me for example.. I can't see my boyfriend today since he's in Georgia, so I'll have to wait another week or two to go on a special date with him.

So today I've decided to take my little sister to a movie and probably have dinner with my family.

I agree with Matt as well. Valentine's Day is not fun if you're going to be all "woe is me". It's just a holiday. I've never spent Valentine's Day with a significant other and I'm not bitter about it. I celebrated with myself yesterday and had a grand time.
