On the new CD, I'm all for Frozen Oceans and I Owe You a Love Song. Mostly, I Owe You. I mean, it's so sweet. Like you've been in something for a while and you turn to your other half and say, "You know what? I owe you a love song." It's not like you forgot, it's like... you just realized they need one. From you. To them. And you're kicking yourself for not doing it sooner.

i really like blown away. it reminds me of the old shiny, but poison is amazing. i love the rain at the start.
i dont really like when did this storm began, the vocals sounds really not like stg and they are a bit whiny, but its still pretty good.

Now that I have the new CD, I think Poison and It Became a Lie on You are my two favorites. Yes.
And oddly enough, Season of Love has REALLY grown on me. Simply because the lyrics are so simple and pure and questioning, that it fils me with wonder about love myself.

Alright so I've spent days now listening over and over to the songs and memorizing the lyrics. I've had a change of heart.
I had said I didn't care for Ghost Town at all...what was I thinking??
My order goes like this:
Ricochet! Ghost Town Poison It Became A Lie On You When Did This Storm Begin Blown Away Frozen Oceans Money For That Turned To Real Life I Owe You A Love Song Season Of Love
I still don't like a lot of the intro's but some of them have grown on me. And I can delete Season of Love off my ipod and I wouldn't miss it. That song......lol. That's one I don't think will grow on me.
I guess my problem with this album is that I don't love every single song with all my heart. I love all of WAP's songs and lyrics. This one has half the songs with awesome meanings and good beats but not entirely. But definitely I've been having a good time jamming SoP in my car.

See, I can see where everyone comes from with Season of Love and not liking it at all, but I can't help but adore the parts of the song when Chad sings "Maybe it's all around to see if we try. And maybe it's been inside of me all this time..." "Where did it come from and where does it go? And if were right in front of me, would I know?" Those lyrics and the twinge of forlorness in his voice as he says it... It's like he's saying it with fear. Fear for never finding it, fear of missing what is right there, fear of where it will take him. Mostly, it speaks to me because it's something you aren't sure you are feeling until you are really feeling it. You wonder if it's love until it actually is. Then you know. But what if you don't see it? That's why I have really come to love it... I mean, it doesn't top Poison, It Became a Lie, Ghost Town, etc. But I still like it.

Ah well when you put it like thattttttt. I don't like that the albums don't have the lyrics printed. It makes me angry! I've been judging the songs mostly by sound and just partially by lyrics. You're right that the lyrics are good because you can connect to them but sound wise it's not something you'll blast out of your car I don't think. I'm going to go on a lyric hunt and get all the lyrics down. For Season of Love I didn't even try to memorize lyrics because I didn't like the sound. You have shown me the light! lol.

I am glad. I'm such a lyric buff, that I research songs almost instantly. I have pretty much all of them down pat. And, actually, mostly just from listening. I haven't looked them up yet.

When Did This Storm Begin is my favourite, followed closely by It Became A Lie On You. The way the tone transforms in the "If you think that I'm not the same, well I guess you've changed too..." line is completely mesmerizing.

Frozen Oceans, hands down. I think Sisely's voice is like hot melted chocolate running down all over my body... on a chilly winter night. plus, it was the first song I heard of off SoP. and every line in It Became A Lie On You is like... hoesnap. and I love the way Season of Love starts out. I feel like I'm drifting on a magical dream cloud through a parallel universe where love is all you feel. and then... it suddenly turns dark and sends you hurdling into a dark dimension of Poison. it starts out with bizarre sounds of creation and self-discovery and your brought face to face with your worst childhood fears. and then when things finally slows down, the organs trap you in an elevator as you slowly descend to the depths of Hell. urm yeah. so... love those songs. And my favorite line in Blown Away would have to be "Will you still be there with your heart boarded up nailed with my mistakes". oh oh oh. Sisely's voice on Turned To Real Life is magical. her sultry, almost rasp voice, goes hand in hand with electronica. um. wow. Didn't mean to write that much. Guess I better stop while I'm ahead. also love the other sings too with a smoldering fiery passion with the white intensity of a thousand suns. okay. done.
