Haha. This is for Star Wars fans (and even if you're not, it's cool) I don't really know. Enuf3 and I just had a few conversations pertaining to Star Wars and I thought it would be cool to get a post up.
So, -What Star Wars character is your favorite? -Jedi or the Dark Side? -Newer or Older movies -Feelings about the new animated series (that i think is totally putting Star Wars to shame) -and anything else you can think of.

Older trilogy (i hate the new ones). also, i agree that the animated series and the POS animated movie that came out a while ago make me not want to call myself a fan of the franchise anymore.

I have NEVER watched anything about Star Wars.
Many people have been telling me that I should, but it somewhat looks boring.
On a scale of 10, what would you rate Star Wars? I might make my decision by that. :p
Oh, and random question, but does Star Wars really promote critical thinking and making important decisions? I know it's a weird question, but I was involved in policy debate in high school and some of my teammates told me that Star Wars is one of the movies that all debaters needed to watch because it emphasized making important decisions. Any ideas?

Well, i would rate it about an 8. but my mom would rate it probably a ten. she's in LOVE with it. and i guess it does kind of emphasize making important decisions. actaully, now that i think of it, it really does emphasize that. but i just watched it for entertainment.

Care to elaborate on how it emphasizes making important decisions?

if you ask yourself what you would do in certain situations throughout the movies, i guess you can learn a lot about your own morality. especially since one of the strongest themes is the tempting of power, and what it can do to good people.

hmm. exactly. like, me. i'd have totally stayed all good in Anikan's place. no Darth vader for me. but he thought it was best... i hope i didn't just ruin the movie for anyone...

Star Wars = Love.
I'm a fan of all 7 films... Yes.. counting the Clone Wars movie.
And believe me, if you guys actually gave the animated stuff a chance, you'd totally see that it's pure star Wars.
I get annoyed with prequel haters... They completely miss the fact that the original trilogy was just as cheesy, poorly acted, and over dramatic as the prequels... But that's how they're meant to be. Star Wars is supposed to mirror the image and feeling of the old Flash Gordan ****. It's great... And the prequels have a MUCH deeper story. It gets treated unfairly if you ask me.

Oh.My.God. Star Wars is almost as God-like as Harry Potter to me. I'm a huge nerd. -What Star Wars character is your favorite? Female Darth Revan! Oh and the "Exile" too. Not to mention Mace -Jedi or the Dark Side? Neither. I'd totally be a gray Jedi. The Order is too stuck up and the Sith are too evil and destructive. I'd totally be like Jolee Bindo. -Newer or Older movies Older!! Newer ones are a shame. -Feelings about the new animated series (that i think is totally putting Star Wars to shame) The only thing I like about it is the new character. Anakin's Padawan. Other than that, I can't watch it. -and anything else you can think of. I'm a huge Knights of the Old Republic fan. I really want them to make a part three to that game. It's just wonderful.

Harry Potter and Star Wars are the coolest most God-Like things in the world. i feel we are not nerds. it's the people who DON'T like them that are the nerds. i'm trying out that philosophy. so far it's not working too well, but lets hope it catches on. :]

Nobody ever remade them... The newer ones are called prequels. Don't know what that means? Go educate yourself.

i actually don't like calling them prequels since the original ones were called 4, 5 and 6, which kinda implies that 1, 2 and 3 are planned in the first place. to me, the word 'prequels' sounds a bit more like they made three, and then out of nowhere they made another three other ones that take place before the others, but wasn't necessarily planned from the start. just my 2 cents.
