REALLY BIG POST HERE

Okay, so last night I attended the New York show... For free. They actually messaged me on myspace and put me on their list... So that alone was a thrill. So I arrive, give the chick my name, she lets me go through. Awesome. We were there a little early so there was only small little clumps of people in the room. And the room WAS small. It's no surprise the guy laughed at me when I tried getting tickets a couple weeks ago.. But little did he know that STG was so on it. lol

The DJ was off the hook. She was little spirited little blonde hottie who spinned some awesome ****.

Then Delta Fiasco started up. Oh em gee.. They are beyond gorgeous. They started with a long lyric-less intro and then exploded into a storm of electronic goodness. Not to mention some wicked guitar work. The lead singer has eyes that'll pierce into your darn soul. He was fantastic.

I wasn't THAT close to them... But was close enough to realize their music was as loud as it could get before crushing every bone in your body. But after a while you don't even realize how loud it is.. you just get so lost in the sound. Anyway, the music was great, their look was great... 9/10 for them.

Then it was time for Jonezetta. At this point I was getting pretty close to the stage. The club was also starting to fill up pretty tight.Anyway.. the performance. They weren't bad... but they weren't great. A couple songs had me moving, but that's it. Lead singer was cute and kept looking in my general direction with his creepy eyes. Anyway, what really pissed me off was how long it took for them to set up... It was ridiculous. I wasn't feeling great on top of it all and standing their waiting for this group was irritating. I wanted Shinys and I wanted it NOW. And one of the members had no real part in the band... Seemed as though he was just there to brag about being in a band... and to act like a jackass. Whatever. 5/20

Then it was show time. A bunch of groupies came out and set up all the stuff... I slowly pushed my way closer and closer to the stage. The room was REALLY getting packed now... I could hardly move and ended up being separated from the guy I was with a few times. Finally after a nice little wait, the lights go dead. The fog machine starts pouring out mist... almost choking us... but in a good way.  Tongue

Through the darkness we could see the band coming out on stage... Screams and applause breaks out... and then... BOOM! ****ing brilliance explodes into our faces. The light show was as though someone poured melted Starbursts into our eyes. It was incredible. They started with "It Starts With One" which normally is just a "good" song to me. But seeing and hearing it live... Completely bad ass. I immediately got into it and everyone started groovin. Sisely was GORGEOUS. Like... I wanted to just grab her and kiss her. She was very light in her movements at first...But her simple head and hip motions, hissed "sex" across the room. She was incredible. Chad's singing was amazing and flawless. Jeremy's work was brilliant. Not to mention he's beautiful to look at in person. Mikey was drumming up front with the others.. which was shocking. Usually the drummer is in the back.

The whole show was just orgasmic. When they started playing Rainy Monday, everyone lost it. Even the gangsta hip hop kids were getting into something like Rainy Monday.. Very surprising.. but goes to prove my point in that STG are gods who can awaken something in everyone.. no matter what category they're placed in.

Le Disko was amazing... hell, even Waiting and Shaken (another one that ranks lower in my list) were badass. I mean, how the hell do they take something as soft as Waiting and turn it into this nasty mother ****er with attitude. LOVED IT.

Ricochet started and again, people lost it. It was so incredible to watch Sisely sing that. And by this point she was like "My turn, mother ****ers" and was bouncing all over the stage. She even got in Chad's way while he tried to sing his part... lmao

They did play some new songs.. which made me happy as ****. It was the exact songs I wanted to hear too. Blown Away, When Did This Storm Begin, Poison... and...I think there was another.. I cant remember. It was one I never heard before. And yes, Sisely did the screaming angry rap thing. It was ridiculously cool. The guy I was with didn't really care for it... But I ****in loved it. As did the hip hop trio (what a surprise).

There was a point where they just walked off stage.. lights went dead and they were gone. Everyone was like WTF! ENCORE!..... But, apparently they were taking a water break or something. They came back and did some killer tunes. They did play Rocketship.. and let me say, had a BLAST doing it. Sisely was nearly rocketing into the ceiling herself. She almost fell off the stage, almost taking the mic stand with her... But she caught herself.  They had a good time playing it/making fun of it... whatever.

Then they acted as though they were ending the show... and to our surprise ended the show nicely with You Are The One. Which was flawless. Beautifully done.

Sad thing, I'm not 21 and couldn't get into the after party... Which is basically where they disappeared to after the show. And I couldn't for the life of me find a merchandise stand. So I walked away with a few pics and a club access wrist band. But I'm thrilled... When they come back to CT I'll go with a bigger group and tear that bitch apart. I can't wait... Get in on it with my group.. lol

All in all.. amazing concert. Amazing band... Loud as hell.. Ears are STILL ringing. But it was great. Here's some pics:

Oh my jesus!
That sounds aboslutly amazing!!
I just read your whole discription. and I am
even more jealous of you then I was before!

And I am so excited because I just found
out they are coming back here in December and
i'm staying up till midnight to get the tickets first,
so that there is no way my friend (cough cough Elsa cough cough) can mess it up.
(jk. ily!)

Your story just made me all the more excited. I just did
a little jig and my mom started laughing.

Yes, I do little dances/jigs when i get excited, because I am no longer allowed to scream.

I gasped. A lot. The pictures are hot. I love Sisely's new hair style. And Chad's slick black clothes. And hair. And. Him. Altogether.

I love you for taking those pictures. Which are awesome. And putting them here. For me to see. I love you.
